Mosque Notes
The Grand Mosque, located in the heart of Oklahoma City, is a state of the art mosque managed by the American Muslim Association of Oklahoma Inc. The American Muslim Association has been leading the Muslim community of Oklahoma since the mid 1980s and developed the Grand Mosque facilities in 2003.
The Grand Mosque holds prayer services five times daily along with nightly tafseer (Quran study) programs. Islamic education classes, covering the fundamentals of religion along with Quran reading for children, are held every weekend. Services and celebrations for Islamic holidays (Eid, birthday of the Holy Prophet, etc…) are also held on a regular basis. Additionally, funeral services, and Islamic marriages can be performed at the Grand Mosque. Additionally, the the Grand Mosque is located adjacent to a newly renovated Event Center which is utilized for Islamic events and community gatherings, and also available to the general public for rental.
